Off the roof, out of the garage, done for the year
Every January the same scene repeats across North Atlanta: cold Saturday, wobbly ladder, a homeowner pulling staples out of fascia board and wondering why the lights went up so much easier than they are coming down. Takedown is the half of holiday lighting everyone forgets to plan for.
For our seasonal customers it is already handled, because January removal is built into every package we install. This page is for everyone else. Proper matters. Our crews remove displays the same way we install them, clip by clip, then coil each run, label it by location (front roofline, left maple, porch rail), and box it so next year's setup starts organized instead of archaeological.
Takedown-only visits are priced flat per home from a few photos, confirmed before the crew rolls. Timing is honest too: our takedown season runs through January, our own package customers are scheduled first, and takedown-only slots open around them. Any display, any installer
DIY displays, another company's work, the previous owner's mystery wiring: we remove it all. The crew sorts what is worth keeping, flags what has failed, and hauls off anything you want gone.
Damage-free removal
No yanking, no prying, no leftover staples in your fascia. Clips come off the way they went on, and gutters and shingles stay exactly as we found them. Crews are fully insured for rooftop and ladder work.
Coiled, labeled, boxed
Every run gets coiled and tagged by location before it goes in a box. Next November you (or we) can rehang the display from the labels alone, with no untangling session on the garage floor.
Optional off-season storage
Garage space is real estate. Add storage and the boxes leave with the crew, live in climate-safe racking, and come back in the fall, either for our crew to reinstall or for you to pick up.
What a takedown visit looks like
The crew works the display in reverse install order. Roofline runs come off first, unclipped section by section with the cord supported so nothing whips or snags a gutter. Tree wraps unwind from the top down, which is slower than pulling from the bottom and the only way to avoid stripping small branches.
As each run comes down it gets inspected, coiled around the forearm to a consistent loop, and tagged: where it hung, whether it worked, anything worth knowing next year. Timers, extension runs, and clips get bagged and labeled the same way.
A typical single-family takedown finishes in one to three hours depending on rooflines and trees. The crew does a final walk of the roofline and beds, and the only evidence lights were ever up is the boxes in your garage, or on our truck if you added storage.

What if some of my lights are broken?
We will tell you honestly which strands are worth keeping. Commercial-grade product usually survives many seasons; retail strings often do not survive one. Dead strands can be hauled off with your permission rather than boxed to disappoint you next year.
Can you store everything until next season?
Yes. Labeled boxes leave with the crew and come back in the fall. Storage pairs well with a reinstall booking, since the same labels that organized the takedown make the next install faster.
